ZONGULDAK   HISTORY Zonduldak and environs had lived Hittite, Frig, Persia, Roman, Byzantium, Seljukian, Danişmend, Candaroğulları and Ottoman periods. Zonguldak city center is started to settle on 1849 as a settlement place as a result of founding the mining coal.
